Dr Caroline Jung

Endocrinologist

Dr Caroline Jung graduated from The University of Melbourne with Honours in 1999. She completed specialist physician training in Endocrinology in 2006. Her PhD (The University of Melbourne 2011) evaluated the pituitary-adrenal axis during pregnancy and in people with obesity, diabetes, Cushing’s syndrome and adrenal insufficiency. She has presented her research at national and international conferences. Dr Jung has received research awards from the Endocrine Society of Australia, United States (US) Endocrine Society, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Australasian and US Women in Endocrinology.

Dr Jung works at the Pituitary, Diabetes and Metabolic Bone clinics at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, and Diabetes and Endocrinology clinic at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne. She is a senior clinical lecturer at The University of Melbourne. She teaches physician trainees, and she is an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Jung offers in-person or telehealth consults. Her main areas of interest include pituitary, adrenal and thyroid conditions, osteoporosis, hypogonadism, Type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes.
